June vs July: Numbers Don’t Lie!

July has absolutely flown by. Seriously, it’s hard to even comprehend that it’s already August! But sure enough, the calendar says it’s so, so it must be!

I really didn’t think I changed much this month, but when I pulled up Garmin Fitness, I was blown away at the difference between this month and last. It feels really good to be in this place and know that I’m still building my program out!

It’s crazy to think that I almost doubled the amount of time spent training this month vs last! Some other key areas of focus have been bringing my swim and cycling game up to par. I didn’t spend much time (read: any) doing those January – May, so I’ve got a bit of work to do to get to where I want to be. Fortunately I have an awesome open water race this weekend and have been slowly increasing my cycle mileage.

What about you? Any key takeaways from July?
