I’ve been so focused on training these past few weeks that when I finally looked ahead at the calendar it hit me like a ton of bricks: it’s practically time for taper! I’ve heard some people take three weeks for a 70.3, others say two, and of course there are some that have a more scientific taper that splits the three disciplines out. Everything feels like it’s gelling really well, so here’s to another three weeks of taper/training!

Adding this chart because data is awesome:

*In March I was diagnosed with a stress fracture in my knee that occurred back in November of 2017. The third week of August is when I made the decision to race my first half Ironman race in December.
